About Cynthia
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the state of California, specializing in psychotherapy for individuals and couples. I received the Presidential Scholarship at Boston College and graduated with a Masters Degree in Social Work, with a Clinical Concentration in 2002.
After obtaining my license in 2007, I continued to provide therapy while I also provided clinical supervision to pre-licensed therapists for 12 years. Although I still enjoy mentoring many therapists in their different stages of their career now in a more casual capacity, I have since shifted my focus to full-time private practice, what I consider to be my first love. While my training has equipped me with various treatment modalities that lend me success in treating anxiety, trauma, family conflicts and relationship difficulties, my deepest passion is treating depression and the very thing that it can attack- our self worth. I believe we were all born with inherent worth, but sometimes our life experiences can cause us to forget that, or even make us believe otherwise. I believe if we can reconnect with our sense of worth, it can change every area of our lives! |
